About Me
I began my career as a graphic designer and art director 30 years ago right here in South Florida, and over those three decades I’ve had the pleasure of working for magazines such as Ocean Drive, Boca Raton and, my current gig, Aventura magazine, among others—and winning awards for my work on those publications, including consecutive professional awards for Art Director of the Year and Best Overall Design Charlie Awards from the Florida Magazine Association. In between, gigs at newspapers such as Sun-Sentinel landed me a design fellowship at the American Press Institute in Washington, D.C. During the past ten years, my passion for photography led me to take it from a hobby to a side gig; most recently I’ve traveled to Mexico at the request of Mahekal Beach Resort in Playa del Carmen to take photos for their website and promotional materials. That may seem like a full plate, but there’s also the illustrating—click on the tab to check out my favorites so far. Editorial and ad design, typography, photography and illustrating are what keep me inspired and excited. Contact me if you’ve got needs for any of the above so we can collaborate to fill your needs for any and all of those.
